Make 2008 the Year for ALL Animals!

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

One-Two-Three-GO-VEG

If your resolutions include…

  • making the world a kinder place
  • meeting new people
  • getting out more
  • making time for fun and yummy vegan food

Then please join Bay Area Vegetarians for a New Year’s Resolution Leafleting and Dinner on Sat Jan 12th at 1:00 p.m.

Starting Location: Powell and Market, by the ticket booth for the cable cars.
Recommend taking BART or Muni to meeting point (use Powell Station)

BAV will bring all the literature. You’re also welcome to bring your own, just let us know so we can plan accordingly.

From 1:00 to 3:00 we’ll slowly make our way toward the ultimate goal: a great vegan dinner. We’ll leaflet as we walk, offering people free vegetarian information and recipes. If you’re new at leafleting, this is a great way to get your feet wet and watch others do it first. It’s a great feeling when a pedestrian says, “Yes, I’ll take one, thank you!” and you know you’ve just helped animals.

After leafleting, we’ll enjoy good food & fellowship over vegan vittles at Golden Era. You can then be happy that you took a little time to help change the world. If you can’t attend the dinner, then just join us for the leafleting. If you can’t make the leafleting, we’ll be doing this another time, so maybe you can join us then.

We did this last year and had a fabulous time, and distributed 550 leaflets too.

What: Make 2008 The Year of ALL Animals!
Where: SF
When: 1/12/08 Saturday, 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Full Details | RSVP/Questions

Please include a phone number and Tammy (event organizer) will confirm all RSVPs with my cell #. FYI, rain cancels – soggy leaflets aren’t appealing to anyone.

We would also like to get a LOT more people leafleting throughout the year. If you’d like to see more activity in SF, East Bay, South Bay or other areas, please email Tammy if you can participate or help organize.
