There’s a new Whole Foods Market in San Francisco on Rhode Island St in the Potrero Hill Neighborhood.

Thanks to a tip from Art about a new vegetarian restaurant in the Richmond district called Yummie House. He says “It is all Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.

It looks like a sandwich shop but they have an incredible variety that would challenge most full scale restaurants.”

Whole Foods in Cupertino is now in a new and larger store across the street at 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd.

New veggie restaurant in downtown San Jose. Deli-style counter with fake meat options as well as a separate menu which includes appetizers, rice plates, dim sum, soups and salads.

In the old location of Kimba Vegetarian Bistro / Good Karma on E. Santa Clara Street. New owner, same menu.

In Sunnyvale, a new restaurant will be openng soon. It’s website proudly proclaims “All dishes are prepared with fresh and nutritious ingredients; No animal products, eggs or MSG.”

New Leaf Market, a popular natural foods store chain in the Santa Cruz area, has announced it will be moving into Half Moon Bay in Spring 2008.

This is hugely exciting news for those living on the San Mateo coastside, the headquarters for Bay Area Vegetarians.
