BAVeg Leadership Council

This is new for 2007. For BAVeg to continue, and to grow, we need other volunteers to help us lead the organization. The Leadership Council is a core group of volunteers who will work directly with the co-founders of Bay Area Vegetarians, Tammy & Chris, to create and plan activities & events in support of promoting a plant-based diet. To put this in context, review the list of current events, and 2006 events.

The analysis of 2006 events supports the dual goals of BAVeg, to build as well as support the veg community:

- 85 Social Events (Restaurant Dinner, Vegan Food Party, etc.)
- 66 Advocacy Events (Letter Writing, Animal Cruelty protest)
- 31 Outreach Events (Tabling, Leafleting)
- 19 Education Events (Presentation, Class)

Each leader, within the Leadership Council, will lead activities and programs, including special projects, to support Bay Area Vegetarians' philosophy of CARE - Community, Advocacy, Resources, and Education.
