Bay Area Vegetarians (BAVeg) is a San Francisco Bay Area wide group for vegan, vegetarian and animal rights folks to connect and find support with like-minded folks. We invite you to be an active part of our community.
We're open to new leaders and volunteers to help us promote compassion to animals and veganism. If you've got a wonderful idea, we want to hear from you! Don't be shy, and don't worry if you've never done it before, as that's true for many of us.
We are a 100% volunteer, no fees, plant-powered organization with over 4,000 members throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

"While the outside isn't as striking as their Santa Cruz location, the interior is even better: funky, fun, quieter. The garlic fries which I tasted needed more garlic; I'd ask for extra. The service is extremely friendly. Great location near the university and very kid friendly. I need to eat there: I remember enjoying the veggies & brown rice w/sauce. They're very vegan friendly, in my opinion."
