Notes: Great inexpensive vegetarian friendly Chinese food in downtown Berkeley. Despite the name, restaurant also serves sea animals. Not be be confused with Vegi Food on Vine St. which is entirely vegetarian.

4 out of 5 stars I had the vegi duck with long green beans and black bean sauce and it was pretty good. Menu like a "typical" Chinese restaurant (e.g. cashew "chicken" and mu shi something) with maybe 1/2 + being veg*n dishes. Brown rice was done just like I like it and portions were generous. Service was also friendly, flexible and efficient. Too bad about all the sea critters on the menu ... greg

4 out of 5 stars I have been coming here for over 11 years. The food is good and inexpensive and service is pretty quick. You may have to share a table if you're alone though, and there aren't many vegan items. funcrunch
