5 out of 5 stars Excellent and attentive service. Creative, colorful and well-prepared dishes. I had the shaved asparagus and fennel salad and veggie pot pie--both were delicious. Free appetizers during 5-6:30 happy hour on Mondays and Tuesdays. Vegans well-accomodated here. Vegan Living

4.5 out of 5 stars The food and service at Encuentro were fantastic with plenty of vegan options. Fresh ingredients prepared perfectly. Everything from salads, soup, socca and sandwiches were delicious. Waitstaff was friendly, informative and willing to make almost anything vegan. I brought some non-veg friends here and they loved it as much as much as I did. Didn't try the desserts...next time! Soyboy

4.5 out of 5 stars Tried two different salads. Fresh and delicious and good sized. They don't skimp on the pear, which I appreciate. The tempeh sandwich was very good. We split it between four of us, but would have been better off if we each had our own. Also had the gigante beans with Field Roast sausage. Yum. Vegan cheese plate good, too. For dessert we shared a cookie plate -- good but small. Wine list nice. francie

5 out of 5 stars great location, great food, great wine selection. I had the vegan platter which was delicious. The staff was very attentive. It's in Oakland, though, so I won't be able to go there as often as I'd like. I wish it were in the City. ajay
