RSVP: Vegan Food Party followed by Joaquin Phoenix documentary - SF - 04/28/07

Original Event Notes:

Please join us for an evening of veggie food and fellowship at Bay Area Vegetarians' famous Vegan Food Party! Doors open at 5 pm, and we'll start eating around 5:30 pm. It's strongly encouraged that you arrive promptly for the best food selection.

After dinner, we may take advantage of our host's big screen TV to watch a documentary about animal rights with Joaquin Phoenix. Note - Joaquin Phoenix is featured in the documentary; regretfully, he will not be attending our Vegan Food Party.

What is a Vegan Food Party?
-A wonderful event for new and old friends to gather together

-A tasty opportunity to share your favorite homemade vegan food item with others. In fact, we encourage you to "animal test" new vegan recipes on willing volunteers.

-A welcome and supportive environment for everyone, from interested/aspiring vegetarians and vegans to longtime activists. Everyone who respects and enjoys vegan food is welcome.

Food Guidelines:

Obviously, food is vegan (no animal products). Macrobiotic, raw or living foods (without honey), etc. are also welcome.

Please remember to bring a food dish that provides 6-8 generous servings, recipe/ingredients list, and your own place setting plus serving utensil.
If you're new to vegan food or Vegan Food Parties, please read the VFP Guidelines for more info.

If you're a new vegan or vegetarian and need help, please ask! Recommended places for great recipes - Cooking Column | goveg.com | Chef Alex's website http://alexbury.com |

Everyone is welcome, both veg and non-veg, members and non-members, as well as kids.

Location: Private residence in SF. Public transit is available. Directions will be sent to everyone who RSVPs approx. 5 days before the event.

Note for those with allergies: there are no canines or felines in residence.
