Original Event Notes: "Companies and politicians know how easy it is to send an e-mail or form letter these days, so handwritten letters really get noticed. I always have fun at the LWPs (I swear, it's not like writing letters at home!), and feel so good afterwards about what we've accomplished."
For this month's letter writing party, we'll have a vegan lunch then write letters at Shangri-La Vegetarian Restaurant at 2026 Irving St (at 21st Ave).
We will be writing letters to the editor, letters to state, county, and federal legislators and officials encouraging compassion to animals, etc. We will be a voice for the voiceless with our personal, handwritten, high-impact letters.
New activists are encouraged to attend! This is a monthly event usually happening on the 3rd Saturday.
It's helpful if you can also bring:
-pen and paper
-envelopes
-name of your State & Federal legislators (click here
-veg or animal rights topics to write on, or use the ones we provide.
