Plant-Powered Hikers - Berkeley Trek

Muddy trail conditions at Mt Tam forced us to re-route our hike for January. So, we opted for an urban trek, starting at the Downtown Berkeley BART on Shattuck with coffee, then walked through Cal Berkeley until Telegraph. Stopped at Smart Alec's to refuel on their delicious air-baked garlic fries, then down Telegraph full of stores and other interesting people. Back up thru the university again, cutting back over to Shattuck. Got to see the offices of Jordan (the Body Technician ) and Alice Walker's restaurant ... Checked out Vegi Food, then down MLK over to Nature's Express on Solano Ave, then looping back around on Sutter to Shattuck and back down to Green Papaya where we shared 3 appetizers, 2 soups, and 4 entrees, and 2 desserts. Of course, we also passed Chick-O-Peas and Cha Ya, but somehow we missed Cafe Gratitude ?
