Half Year Birthday Party 2002

We celebrated the "half-year" birthday of BAV with, what else!, an outdoor vegan food party. Here some photos and recollections of that day....

One long-time vegan remarked that this was the best potluck he'd ever attended. I think his praise was well-deserved, as everyone contributed yummy vegan food. We had several types of salads (green leaf/lettuce, potato, rice), Korean BBQ tofu, Date & Pecan cake, apple pies, dips & chips, purple potatoes, several hot appetizer & entrees from Bamboo Garden... I'm sure there is more but I can't remember! If anyone has more food recollections to share, let me know and I'll add them. I found new homes for 3 fledgling spider plants I'd started.
