This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. I usually go with a friend or two and get the veggie combo. I have been told their veg items are vegan yet I still sometimes wonder if there is ghee in the preparation. That hasn't stopped me from eating there! Excellent food. I've had a few misses here and there but considering how many times I've been there it's to be expected. |

I've eaten here many times and had forgotten to review it. Now after another lunch there with a veg friend I want to recommend Cafe Colucci. If they were a veg restaurant they'd get five stars from me. I have never had a meal any less than terrific, tasty, worthy of the price, complete with good service and a clean environment. Excellent veg combination, all vegan, great injera. |

I just had the veggie combo lunch today, and it was very tasty. They have a greater selection of veg items (10, + combos) than most Ethiopian places I've been to, and the 6 or so items on my combo were all excellent. $9 for lunch or $12 for dinner (before/after 5 pm). They say everything veggie is vegan, which is believable for Ethiopian. Pleasant enough environment, including outdoor seating. |

Cafe Colucci is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the bay area. Their veggie combo is amazing. It contains items you would expect, such as lentils in bebere sauce, cabbage and carrots and collard greens. It also contains two cold dips (green lentil and chickpea) that are so delicious and I've never seen anywhere else. The service is good here, but they can get busy. |
