Excellent value for the money. The San Mateo location is just as good as The Mission. I generally stick to the rice and beans burrito, but they also have grilled tofu available for your burrito or tacos. The rice and beans are all lard-free and they know what vegan means. The horchata is dairy-free. It tends to get crowded, but the line moves quickly. |

A slice of the Mission in San Mateo. Unlike other reviewers, I found the tofu burrito to be lacking taste. Maybe it was my fault for ordering mild instead of hot, but I thought ranchero would be tasty. If you order a burrito you might want to get some salsas from the salsa bar. This place is veg-friendly but heavily meat oriented, so I don't think I would go again except with carnivore friends. |

Great lunch take out spot for those working in the San Mateo area. Tofu burrito is really good. Very authentic tasting...nice and salty. No lard or animal stock used in their beans. Fast and fresh. Long lines during lunch time. Big meat grill, which is a turnoff, but if you get take out, you're in and out. Great juice bar! |

The burritos are super tasty - I'd recommend you get them "to go" as the place is very loud and hearing the chopping of dead animals is not overly appealing. Place smells heavily of meat. |

The burritos are great -- they offer a tofu ranchero filling which is really tasty, and burritos with avocado and no cheese or sour cream. They are fast and efficient. |
