I ate here again recently with my parents, who are omnivores. My vegan entree was OK, and my parents liked their carniverous dishes. This is a good spot for mixed dining groups. We were seated right away on a weekend mid-afternoon, so all hope is not lost on getting a seat if you don't go the same time everyone else does. (The same goes for parking.) NOTE: Now open in Oakland at 4721 Telegraph Av. |

The food at Burma Superstar is amazing. I ate and loved things I would never imagine eating (vegan of course). I highly recommend the tea leaf salad (mixed at your table). The vegetarian samusa soup is the best soup I have ever had. Chunks of samusas, falafels, lentils, veggies and spices. Pea shoots were phenomenal. Highly recommended, but get there early as it gets packed with long waits. |

The food is unique and delicious; I'd recommend the tea leaf salad. The wait is ridiculously long-- I waited 2.5 hours -- luckily there's an awesome bookstore down the street, and the restaurant will call your phone when you're getting close to getting seated. BUT the food also seemed to make me sick that night and after I ate the leftovers (on faith!) the day after. My friend was fine, though. Hm |

This restaurant offers lots of vegetarian options and specifically states what is in every dish on the menu. If you like spicy food, it is great. I would stick with these that are marked Burmese. |
