Original Event Notes: Are you a vegan family with kids? Join us for a casual playground/park event on the 14th. This is a two-hour event, starting at 10:30 am, to allow for afternoon nap time for younger children.
Anyone who has kids to bring or wants to support/play with young vegans, has questions about parenting as a vegan, share vegan information is welcome, of course! RSVPs with the names & ages of your children would be much appreciated. There is no requirement to be vegan to attend. Only the food being brought to share is required to be vegan.
Food Sharing
- If you are a family with kids: bring vegan snacks your child enjoys and enough to share with other kids (6-8 snack servings per child; if you are bringing more than one child, increase the amount appropriately or bring a different snack)
- if you are attending without a child: bring your favorite homemade vegan picnic food to share, 6 to 8 adult servings
Remember to bring
- serving utensil for your food contribution
- place setting (whatever you need to eat with, i.e. plate, fork, napkin) and personal beverage
- recipe or ingredient list for your food item, with your name, in case anyone has questions or needs to check ingredients for allergies
Location: Children's Playground at Kennedy Park, 2296 Streblow Dr., Napa
J.F. Kennedy Park is a Napa City park that runs along the Napa River. The 350 acre park includes five picnic areas, softball, soccer, volleyball, boat launching, hiking, & a children's playground.
