Just for the fun of discussion, assume you are hypothetically stranded on an island, what food(s) would you HAVE to have with you? This is a hypothetical discussion so it can be anything veg .. maybe we should try a limit of 5 items otherwise this could be a discussion of what to stock in your pantry (another good topic)
This is not something that I've seriously thought about (how many of us plan to be stranded on islands?) although I do plan not to be stranded in my daily routine of life .. if I'm going to be away from home for longer than 3 hours and it doesn't include plans to eat out, I'll typically bring a piece of fruit, like a banana or apple, and a Luna bar with me.
But for an island scenario ... what comes to mind is Tom Hanks in the movie "Castaway" .. and he also did that movie stuck in the airport where he ate crackers with condiments.
Okay, I think I would need brown rice, broccoli, peanut butter, chickpeas, and apples. I had MaggieMudd's tarmac ice cream on there at first

Newman's Own chocolate orange candy bars, black beans, brown rice, marinara sauce with garlic and mushrooms, broccoli
Edit: Ok, I know I'd crave broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, all sorts of chocolate desserts, whole grain pastas, tomato & pesto sauces, etc. etc. but revising my 5 items:
chocolate cake heavy on the chocolate frosting, avocado, black beans, brown rice, melon (I'm not sure which kind)
