Our section of the book club now has a name FOOD FOR THOUGHT, a very appropriate name as we digest books on topics like vegetarianism and animal rights Laughing

We're now meeting 6 times a year. Group members decide on upcoming books & locations, rotating currently between SF, South Bay and East Bay.

Upcoming Books:

07/01 Free the Animals: The Story of the Animal Liberation Front - Emeryville ( RSVP )
09/09 Pleasurable Kingdom - Sunnyvale
11/04 Committed: A Rabble-Rouser's Memoir - SF

You'll find complete details for each event on the calendar at

http://bayareaveg.org/events

NEW We have established a separate mailing list for the FFT book club. This will allow participants to communicate with each other. Announcements to the SFBAVEG/SFBAVEG-EVENTS mailing list will still be made, but this dedicated list will allow for detailed communication for folks who are planning to attend.

So, whether you're interested in reading one book or reading them all, please sign-up on the list. We can use the list to coordinate carpooling where feasible, recommend book titles, etc.

If you have a Yahoo ID -- which is encouraged and will allow you to participate in polls -- you can join directly at this link:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fftbc

We'll still keep some information here, but to stay informed and current, please use the Food for Thought mailing ist, link above.
