Does anyone know what is up with all the changes to Good Karma in the last coupole of months?

Can you elaborate? I love this place, and I know a lot of people rate it very highly in the guide. I'm curious what's changed.

So what I meant was that there was new ownership and the vibe of the place changed.

But more importantly, just went in there today and they said that they have 2 weeks to find a new place or they will be going out of business. The land lord is kicking them out.

Go out and supprt Good Karma!!!

Well, if they have to move, maybe they can find a bigger space? Although, a small space seems quite well suited for what they had. Maybe they'll move closer to me!

I asked about this on SFBAVEG (a local veg mailing list) and someone else had more info from a conversation today.

"they are planning on moving" and "They did not give me the impression that they would possibly be going out of business"

well when i talked to them, they said that they got a three day notice from their land lord. however, they were able to get an extra two weeks at their current location. They were going to try to find another place but weren't sure if they would have enough time before their current location closed. they also said that it would be a lot harder for them to reopen somewhere else if they were closed for a few months. Yesterday, things were up in the air because i believe it was only the second day that they knew about it, so maybe they might know more today. but i think we all will just have to wait and hold our breath until they find a place. I know i can't wait!!!!

If anyone randomly knows of some empty places, you should let them know.

and like the other post said on the other site, they started a email list, so they can give people unpdates if they do close. so stop by, get some food, and sign the list

The new location looks like it will be on North 1st Street just north of Santa Clara, in a space formerly occupied by Hip Pop. No off street parking. Park in one of the lots. Bigger kitchen.

Thanks for the update! Do you know when they will move to the new location? Are they still open at the original location? They're a great little restaurant; I hope they can keep everything the same (just bigger maybe!) at the new place.
