After watching Peaceable Kingdom the other week I'm at a loss what do with the meat in my freezer?
I'm not sure if a homless shelter will take it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hi, Selina.
Well, the most important part is that YOU have decided NOT to eat it! Congratulations on your decision not to be a part of the extreme cruelty shown in the film. Once I made that decision, it was like a great weight was taken off of me; I no longer had to try not to know where the meat came from.
Maybe the Salvation Army would take it if you explained why you are getting rid of it, but perhaps not. They might be afraid to accept it from someone they don't know. Another thought is to give it to someone you know, telling them of your decision and why you made it. It'll give them something to think about it when they cook and eat it.
Again, congratulations on your wonderful decision.

Hi Selina,
If the meat is sealed in its original packaging, you might be able to donate it. I would contact Second Harvest for some suggestions:

If it's been opened, I don't think any organization can accept it due to safety concerns. I like Karen's suggestion of giving it to a friend or neighbor with an explanation.
Congratulations on going veg!
