The Place~
The charming 1st floor flat has 11 foot ceilings, original molding, and a ceiling rosette in the living room. There is a lovely native plant garden in front & a lawn, vegetable, and flower garden in back along with a compost. There is Hardwood flooring throughout, good light, a washer/dryer in house, a dishwasher, wireless internet, a security system, and room for street parking.

The Location~
The house is located near the Emeryville border in between San Pablo and Adeline Streets. It is a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees, and a small park across the street. Easy access to 80, 24, 580, and 880 freeways, Bay Bridge, BART and shopping districts in Temescal, Emeryville and Berkeley.

The People~
You would be sharing space with a spiritually inclined and highly creative 30 something. I am vegetarian and would like a housemate who shares the same diet and who also doesn't mind sharing good meals and good company from time to time. You should be smoke and drug free and also child friendly. I share joint custody with two children who would be here 3.5 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). I certainly respect others privacy and require my own. On the weeknights I have free- I prefer quiet time to study and/or and work on my computer. The ideal room mate situation would include someone who has a good social life and likes to go out on the weekends and doesn't mind hearing children up as early as 7:30 in the morning... The Owner of the Victorian Duplex is very friendly and lives on the second floor.
