This is absolutely my favorite holiday. I eat pretty much the same thing every year and I love it.
- Tofurky
- Mashed potatoes and gravy (creamy country gravy, from the Tofurky box, I add mushrooms!)
- Stuffing
- Broccoli (my default green vegetable)
- Pumpkin pie
I will post more details with recipes soon. Would love to hear what others are planning for Thanksgiving. Or if people have questions, feel free to post!!

I love Thanksgiving, as well. We usually have dinner with Doug's parents and we bring the Tofurkey. They always have some and they like it.
In addition to the Tofurkey, I like to make homemade cranberry sauce by soaking and blending organic dried cranberries with a little agave nectar. (mmm!)
Doug's mom usually makes vegan stuffing and mashed potatoes (with celery root -- mmmm), but this year I may try to modify a few yummy-looking recipes from the Nov. issue of Vegetarian Times magazine. There is a veg-sausage pomegranate stuffing, I think, as well as some roasted veggie ideas. I love steamed kale with lemon juice, but am pretty open to eating any green veggie.
Doug and I will bring an organic vegan pumpkin pie, or if I get ambitious, I'll make some pumpkin chocolate-chip cupcakes from 'Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World.'
Bon Apetit!

Here's my Traditional set of Thanksgiving recipes .. you can tell I use them alot because they are already online. I find that I am paper-challenged, and having information online means I can't lose it

To that I would add Hot Apple Cidar ... AND a new gravy that I absolutely love .. I had blogged earlier that I need to find it, and Seth at Tofurky was kind enough to post it for me! See my blog below for spices for Hot apple Cidar; and in the comments, you'll find the creamy country gravy.

Hello! This is my first ever post here.
I made the Festive Chickpea Tart and Classic Cranberry Sauce yesterday - both recipes from the current VegNews, and both perfectly autumnal and Thanksgiving-y. So yummy!
Cheers! |
