Golden Era I liked the food! Appreciated the leaflets and veg literature around the restaurant! My hubby & I really liked our meals. Bummed that they told me they had cherry vegan ice cream and when she went to check, they didn't have ANY ice cream left. Service was ok. Food tasted fresh, place looked clean, we will definitely go again! 4 stars 2007-02-20
Millennium LVOED the ambiance, the service - did the Aphrodisiac package w/ hotel night. AWESOME - PRICEY but a nice romantic splurge. Hotel was nice too! Everything was just wonderful except the TOKA parking garage the restaurant/hotel suggested us use. They relocated my car to an unknown location & my car had a long black scratch on the passenger side. I will file a claim against the parking garage. 4.5 stars 2007-02-20
New World Vegan I went to NW Veg for a New Years Eve brunch. HUGE portions - very well priced for the amount of food you get. I don't like meat, so I was a little scared to order dishes containing fake meat - was fearful it would taste like meat (hate the taste, texture, etc of meat) but was pleasantly surprised. Great ambiance, service, and very nice eating experience. Vegan cake rocked too! Loved it all! 4.5 stars 2007-01-04
Udupi Palace Best indian food yet! Fresh - made to order - great food. Samosas were top knotch! Everything was very well made and worth the price. My new favorite indian spot - love them!! 5 stars 2007-01-04
Fellini Good food - ambiance - appreciate them having vegan selections! Very professional service staff and love that they kept refilling my water! Get a point for that!! 4.5 stars 2007-01-04
Vital Ital Calabash I really enjoyed this space - the energy, people, and food. It's a cozy small space with so much charm. Staff are super friendly - food is awesome - loved the avocado burger, smoothie with ginger, and beans, rice, jamaiican stew.. it's all great and my hubby loved it too! Good place to support!! Fun environment! 5 stars 2006-10-02
Cafe Gratitude I was very impressed with CG in Berkeley. The service was unique yet wonderful. I liked the communal style of sititng with others or having others at your table. I appreciated the diversity of the menu and the daily specials. A very positive place. A little on the pricey side but food is so amazing, it's worth every penny! Love the "I AM VIVACIOUS" as it's stuffed avocados - yum! Great energy! 4.5 stars 2006-09-08
Saturn Cafe Went here for dinner - good fries, meals are ok. I didn't think it was super special food - very creative ambiance and decor. Great service, I got the sandwich/soup combo. Didn't like the soup - too spicy. Peanut butter vegan shake with chocolate was too rich for me - but good for those who love peanut butter to the max. 4 stars 2006-08-23
Dharma's Natural Foods HUGE portions. Kind of expensive but then not really when considering the portions. I got seitan kabobs which ROCKED!! I just overate because the food was great and I didn't want to waste anything. Drinks were a bit expensive - atmosphere blah but who cares -food good. My hubby wasn't too impressed with his meal, some greek dish he said was just so-so. Mine rocked. 3.5 stars 2006-08-23
