| Vegetarian House | Twice we've gone there & the food was okay. Tasted a bit "pre" prepared, like the frozen vegan dishes at the health food store. The service was awful. Two of us for dinner, & only 4 other tables dining, & we sat for 35 minutes before they took our order. The food was another 40 minutes...forgot our dessert which took another half hour. | The Happy Bamboo | The people were really nice & the restaurant had a quaint little "cafe" atmosphere. Unfortunately the service was really slow. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. The food was just okay. We had the chicken teriyaki & sweet/sour chicken. Both were really salty, so much that you couldn't really taste the faux chicken. We may try it again, but for now we'll stick to Merit & Garden Fresh.  | 2010-05-20 |
| Merit Vegetarian | WOW! We haven't had this good of food since our very favorite place in the world, Fragrance Land, closed last year! We had the Vietnamese Crepe and it was AWESOME! Tasted like egg fu yung, from how I remember it before my vegan days. We had the Lotus Salad, but something in it was really spicey HOT, so that wasn't a big hit with us. We LOVE Merit! | Fragrance Land | FRAGRANCE LAND NEEDS YOUR PATRONAGE!!!
We went there last Sunday, 1/11/09, and found out that they're now going to be CLOSED ON MONDAYS. They're not getting the patronage that they need, so are closing now one day a week.
We love this little gem. The food & service is great! Please tell your friends to go to Fragrance Land, so it doesn't end up like other good veggie places and be closed.  | 2009-01-16 |
| Good Karma | Went to the old location on Santa Clara St last spring & it was really good! Tried to find the new local on 1st St; it was a real pain... nowhere to park! Very limited metered parking and a lot of pay lots! We probably won't try it again. The food wasn't that great that we want to deal with the parking hastle.  | 2006-08-01 |
| Millennium | Took my mom for the Mother's Day brunch and it was very disappointing. The service was very slow, the food portions were small and didn't have much flavor. The best thing was the little, and I mean "little" plate of bakery appetizers. They were great, but tiny portions and no seconds. We went here for the brunch several years ago and it was wonderful. | Garden Fresh | We love this place. The spicey orange beef is my favorite, mom loves the sweet/sour "pork". All dishes aren't vegan though. The buns they use have diary and they put regular mayonaise in their sushi. | 2005-11-19 |
