Ultimate Guide Reviews
New World Vegan Eclectic and tasty mix of Asian and European dishes. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike love it. Only suggestion - rotate some of the regular menu dishes for us repeat customers. 4.5 stars 2005-11-21
Pizza Plaza *very* good vegan pizza. Delicious crust, and just the right amount of melted vegan cheese. Could be more generous on the toppings, but otherwise top notch. 4.5 stars 2005-10-18
Fellini Fellini's rocks. In addition to good vegan pizza, pastas and salads, the owner (Jeff) and staff are very friendly and accommodating to vegans. It also has an enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere. 5 stars 2005-07-31
El Cerrito Natural Grocery El Cerrito Natural is a great grocery store. They have a wide selection of vegan foods, including raw items, and the vast majority of their food is organic. And the place is friendly and small. 5 stars 2005-07-29
Berkeley Natural Grocery This store has excellent organic produce, and a wide selection of vegetarian foods, including meat substitutes and frozen and canned foods, much of it organic. The store is friendly and small. 5 stars 2005-05-19
Madras Sri Krishna Bhavan The food here is just excellent, and very authentic South Indian (according to an Indian friend who ate there). Their lunch buffet is mostly vegan. Lacks in ambience, but worth it for the food! 5 stars 2005-05-19
