| Souley Vegan | Love, Love, Love this place. I'm so glad they finally got settled in new location. My favs are the combination fried/bbq "chicken" tofu sandwich, the cornbread and the live music. It gets a little toasty in there if it's hot out. Make sure to tip the musicians if you like the music. Lately, it's been father/son duo doing all kinds of genres. Not to be missed! | 2010-09-18 |
| Great Vegi Land | They have had total remodel and new chef. Food is outstanding. Dumplings, Candied Ham, Tofu wrapped Veggies are my favorite. It's now quite, very well decorated and a joy to eat there! The food is definitely better than Garden Fresh, IMHO. You must order "Chicken Nuggets" when there. They are not on menu - so scrumptious! | 2009-12-31 |
| Merit Vegetarian | Excellent food. Love the fact that it's so dang close to my home/work. Service was fast and chef/waiter was very informative and energetic. I will now rotate between Merit and Great Vegi Land when I dine in Sunnyvale! | 2009-12-31 |
| Tofoo Com Chay | Love, love, love this place!! I usualy go and order about 10 dishes to go which lasts me for the week. They have lots of very fresh veges with almost all dishes. Love tofu teriyaki and chicken salad. What keeps these guys from a 5.0? Food can be salty and they don't accept debit/credit cards. Get in a pinch on cash? Go across store to pharmacy ATM. | 2009-12-31 |
| Dosa | OMG, this was some of the best Indian food I've ever had. I was going to Herbivore, like I almost always do in that part of town, and I saw "Top Restaurant of 2006." Ventured in and the gave me cool spreadsheet of what had wheat - dairy - meat in it. I've never seen anything like it. A must visit! | 2007-12-24 |
| Shangri-La | I enjoy most of the dishes here. The food comes fast and it's fun going to a Kosher Vegetarian restaurant. The only one I've ever head of. My favorite are the chicken balls. Yummy!! | 2007-09-26 |
| Vital Ital Calabash | I completely loved this place. My favorite was the avocado soy burgers - best I've ever had. The smoothies were not to my liking - a bit watered down - I'd suggest you say "hold the maple syrup, mahn." Update 6/25/2007 - food is still very yummy - business is definitely for sale - go now or you may never experience vegan African Jamaican food again. Lemonade rocks there!! | 2007-06-26 |
| Banana Leaf | Wonderful food, great atmosphere. I had the vegan spring rolls with delicious sauce and the Utama Basil Snap Peas with shiitake mushroom, tofu & red onion in Chef's basil sauce. For dessert, I had the incredible Mango ice cream in caramel sauce. It's a very busy restaurant, so expect to wait 10-15 minutes, unless you make a reservation. Oliver, the owner, is friendly and very accommodating. | 2007-04-29 |
| Good Karma | Wonderful cuisine. For a while there, I was going weekly - like I do to a grocery store, stocking up on their vegan delights to eat during the week. They make lots of mock stuff at a reasonable price | 2006-06-26 |
| MaggieMudd | This eatery is incomparable. My favorite is the good ol' fashioned malts. They give you soo much food for such a great price..I want one now!! | 2006-05-09 |
| Pancho Villa Taqueria | The burritos are super tasty - I'd recommend you get them "to go" as the place is very loud and hearing the chopping of dead animals is not overly appealing. Place smells heavily of meat. | 2006-05-09 |
| Blue Mango | Very, very tasty. They have a separate vegetarian menu - ask for it. The blue mango with sticky rice is fun. They have lots of great spicy and non-spicy dishes. Love the asapargus/mushroom dish. | 2006-05-09 |
| Hobee's | Definitely my favorite breaksfast place. The tofu scramble is completely vegan and completely delcious! This location isn't my favorite. | 2006-05-09 |
| Hobee's | Definitely my favorite breaksfast place. The tofu scramble is completely vegan and completely delcious! This location is the best I've tried so far. | 2006-05-09 |
| Cafe Venue | awesome vegetarian sandwhich with hummus (vegan) plus small salad is quite large - enough for two people. | 2005-07-25 |
| Crepevine | Great environment, lots of space, indoor and outdoor seating. Not sure if crepes were vegan or not. I had Kyoto - spinach, tofu w/peanut sauce, mushrooms and avocado. Scrumptuous. Free drink refills | 2005-06-26 |
| Golden Lotus | Caramelized chicken was so-so tonight - queen's chicken at SJ vege house is much better. Service and Parking were awesome. 1000 layer tofu/eggplant is awesome!! | 2005-05-29 |
| Gelateria Naia | I tried rum/chocolate vegan based sorbet. - heavy on the rum and didn't have much taste. I then sampled the dark chocolate gelato (with dairy) and it blew my socks off. Vegan-2; Vegetarian-5 | 2005-05-29 |
| Vegetarian House | Best veg restaurant in Bay Area. Crispy Mushroom delight, Fried Ice Cream and Queen's chicken make my mouth water. Staff meditates between lunch and dinner - makes dinner that much better. | 2005-05-29 |
| Herbivore | Love sauteed mushrooms, roasted corn and brushetta. Portabello mushroom sandwich is good too. Green salads and noodle dishes turn me off. Waitstaff is friendly. Don't go if you're in a rush. | 2005-05-29 |
| White Lotus | the food lacked charm and taste. everyone in my party who attended (in January of this year) reached for salt, pepper and soy to flavor the dishes. Out of 6 dishes, 5 were mediocre | 2005-02-20 |
| Garden Fresh | Love everything about this restaurant. It's a trip bringing guests - especially vegetarian ones who can't believe stuff isn't meat! Wonton Spinach Soup and freshed squeezed juices are my favorite! | 2004-08-21 |
