They assist local humane societies and rescue groups with animals-primarily farmed animals-who, due to their breed, their health, or their personality, cannot be adopted into permanent homes.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AYou'll be reminded of all the animals you are saving by having (or trying to adopt) a veg diet. You'll meet...=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A... Rascal the Rabbit who was surrendered as a sickly, unwanted companion animal. She recovered quickly and enjoys a happy and healthy life among her bunny companions at Harvest Home.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A....Bill, a Broad Breasted White Tom Turkey, that was found wandering the streets of Berkeley =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A...Mohawk a beautiful and intelligent potbellied pig that was severely mauled by dogs and taken to a city shelter.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0Aplus many more goats, ducks, chickens and other animals.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AThis is a special tour for Bay Area Vegetarians, and you are welcome & encouraged to bring (veg and non-veg) guests.  The tour will start at 10:30 AM and last 1.5- 2 hours after which we will have a picnic style BAVeg VFP (vegan food party) next to the Harvest Home victory garden.
