During the even months, we will have philosophy discussions based on books, films, etc.  =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0ANewcomers are always welcome!=0D=0A=0D=0ABook:  Case for Animal Rights by Tom Regan=0D=0A=0D=0AThe discussion will take place at Loving Hut restaurant in San Francisco, 1365 Stockton St=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0ALast time in the fftbc Philosophy Group, we covered Chapters 1-5 in Tom Regan's book The Case for Animal Rights. The first half of the book laid the groundwork for Regan's argument for the Rights View, which we will cover this month. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AWe'll be discussing the material covered in Chapters 6-9.1, including:=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A• What is Utilitarianism? What are the varieties of Utilitarianism?=0D=0A=0D=0A• What might make Utilitarianism unacceptable?=0D=0A=0D=0A• Regan's Rights View.
