SUMMARY:Singles Veg Leafleting - SF
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: Please visit Bay Area Vegetarians event calendar for more information or updates on this and other vegetarian and animal rights events.=0D=0A=0D=0Ahttp://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php#1525 =0D=0A=0D=0AHost: Alex=0D=0A=0D=0ANotes:=0D=0A=0D=0ABay Area Vegetarians announces a new program of events: Singles Veg Leafleting. These events are for anyone interested in meeting new veg*n friends: Women, men, straight, gay, any age, almost-veg, veg, or vegan (yes, it's OK if you're not veg, as long as you are open to and interested in vegetarianism). =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AThe first event will be Tuesday night, February 13th--the night before Valentine's Day. You might meet someone and make a date for the next night! =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AFebruary is all about Valentine's Day, and Valentine's Day is all about love, romance and hearts (and mass consumerism, but we'll ignore that for now). =0D=0A=0D=0AThe healthiest hearts are vegan hearts, right? Right. =0D=0A=0D=0Ahttp://www.goveg.com/heartdisease.asp=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AAnd when it comes to love and romance, well...a vegan diet helps in that department as well:=0D=0A=0D=0Ahttp://www.goveg.com/impotence.asp=0D=0A=0D=0A (that's a great website to forward to your non-veg friends and family, by the way--guaranteed to start some conversations)=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AWe'll leaflet for 30 short minutes, then eat. If you've never leafleted before, you can just watch and see how it goes. I think you'll be surprised at how fun and easy it is. It's also a great way to get to know your fellow veg*ns, because everyone has their own style of leafleting and it all works. I love leafleting with friends and then relaxing over a meal, to celebrate all the leaflets given away (all the new vegetarians just created!), laugh over some of the people we saw, and compare notes about different things to try. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AMeet at the SW corner of Mission and 16th (BART station). =0D=0A=0D=0A5:30 p.m. Tuesday February 13th.=0D=0A=0D=0ADress comfortably--we'll walk six easy blocks to Herbivore at Valencia and 21st, leafleting as we go. I will have Spanish Vegetarian Starter Kits as well as English.=0D=0A=0D=0A****************************************************************************************=0D=0A=0D=0ANOTE:If you can't do the leafleting, I hope you will join us another time--this dinner is just for leafleters! Dinner is approx 6-6:15, and you must RSVP for the leafleting & dinner so that I can make the correct reservation. =0D=0A=0D=0A****************************************************************************************=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AAfter dinner it's an easy walk back to Mission and 16th or Mission and 24th. If people are up to it, we can stop by Amnesia on the way back for a beer or sparkling cider.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AThere's also a cheap and convenient parking garage at 21st and Valencia, so you could park there, walk back to 16th and Mission, and have your car waiting after dinner. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0APlease bring cash for your share of the dinner bill--it's much easier if the restaurant can give us a bill for the entire table. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AIf you can only do the leafleting, that's OK, but we'll miss your camaraderie at dinner. If you can't do the leafleting, I hope you will join us another time--this dinner is just for leafleters!=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AThank you=0D=0A=0D=0AAlex=0D=0A=0D=0A
