The workshop is a prerequisite for volunteering at the Sanctuary.  Each workshop includes an Orientation to Animal Place, a Tour of the Sanctuary, Overview of Factory Farming Issues, Farmed Animal Behavior Basics and Farm Safety Procedures.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AAfter attending animal place 101, there are many ways that one can volunteer their time: tabling for Animal Place at festivals and events; grooming, socializing, and playing with rescued dogs during their time at the sanctuary; helping out around the farm; assisting with the bunny health checks and many more opportunities.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0ASanctuary supervisor, Michelle Johnson, leads a workshop each month.  The next workshop is on Saturday, July 1st from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  If you are interested in attending, you will need to send an email to info@animalplace.org or call 707-449-4814 so they can send you an information/registration packet.  =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AIf you are interested in attending this event, please also contact me and we can arrange carpools so people don’t need to make the trip to Vacaville alone.
