In Memory of Julie Aleva

In Memory of Julie Aleva, a wonderful young woman and friend to all animals

Julie became vegetarian when she was 12 and quickly converted her mom, Donna Marie, to her way of thinking, and eating. Donna became an activist for animal rights, and through her efforts and persistence convinced me and many others to go vegan.

Julie was such a wonderful young woman and friend to animals. During her short life, she worked in several animal-related jobs, including being an intern at PETA about 10 years ago, earning the honor of being the first intern arrested in the line of duty, protesting the mistreatment of chickens.

Julie will be missed by all who knew her, and I know she was enthusiastically welcomed at the Rainbow Bridge when she arrived.

Thank you to Karen M for her kind donation in Julie’s memory.
